# Privacy policy — Cookie Cleanup: Forget Closed Tabs The add-on deletes cookies and site data of websites whose tabs you have closed. It has no server, no account, no analytics and no ads, and it makes no network requests. **What it can access.** With access to all websites and the `cookies` permission it reads the list of cookies in Firefox (names, domains, partition and container, not used for anything but the keep/delete decision) and the addresses of open tabs, to know which sites are still open. It does not inject scripts into pages and does not read page content or form fields. `browsingData` is used only to delete localStorage, IndexedDB and service workers of closed sites. **What is stored, only on your device (`storage.local`):** - your keep list and settings; - a log of the last 40 cleanups: time, site names and how many cookies were deleted; - host names of sites you opened in tabs that have not been cleaned yet, per container. A host is removed from this list once its data is deleted and checked again 30 seconds later. Hosts of sites on your keep list or still open stay in the list. Clear the log in the settings; removing the add-on deletes all of it. **What is sent outside your browser:** nothing. **What is never collected:** personal data, cookie values, browsing history beyond the host names above, analytics, advertising identifiers. Nothing is sold or shared.
